Android OS is world’s fastest growing mobile OS and comes from Google family. Micromax Andro A60 is the latest addition to the category of budget Android phones, a fast growing market segment. Micromax has showcased its first Android run phone, the Andro A60 to the Indian markets. A full touch screen smartphone, the Andro A60 comes with the Android 2.1 Eclair update. The phone will start selling next month and will be available at a price of about 8,000.

Micromax is the third largest mobile phone maker in India and the latest Android phone from the company will further strengthen its hold in the Indian market. The Andro A60 has a 2.8 inch resistive screen with an auto focused 3.2 MP camera. The phone is powered by a 600MHz microprocessor.

Weighing 105 grams, the dimensions of the phone are 106.8mm x 59.2mm x 14.0mm. The phone comes with an internal memory of 150MB and can be expanded up to 32GB using a micro SD card. Connectivity features of the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS.

The Andro A60 also packs in an Accelerometer and gravity sensor for playing the Android-platform based games. The device includes FM radio and is powered by a 1280 mAh Li-ion battery. The battery gives just four hours of talktime, a worrisome feature for an Android phone.

With Micromax grabbing the top spots in the Indian mobile phone industry, it is time that the big wigs like Nokia and Samsung pull up their socks before the Indian company is all out to rule the roost in the Indian market.

iBuzz Launches Five Dual SIM Mobile Phones in India

Vertex Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd. today announced the launch of iBuzz Mobiles with the introduction of five mobile devices across six states in India. With a team comprising of professionals from the mobile industry and a combined experience of over 100 years, iBuzz mobiles will be available across key states like Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sutikshan Naithani, Director & CEO Vertex Management Solutions said “The idea for starting iBuzz came after an extensive research on the current mobile industry in India. There is a definite demand for professional mobile companies providing functionality in mobile devices at affordable prices. He Added we will be introducing 5 variants as part of our first phase and will be expanding our reach and portfolio in the coming year.”

The five models currently being launched are the i1800 (Big Buzz), i2200 (Picture Buzz), i3300 (Multi Buzz), i4400 (Music Buzz) and i4 (Slim Buzz). With the price range varying from Rs. 2200 to Rs. 4000. All phones support key features like Dual SIM capability, color screens, multi language support and music players. Other features include security measures like phone trackers, panic button, and support for popular social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Nimbuzz.

While most features are standard across all models, every product subcategory comes with certain key features including Dual Memory card slots in the Multi Buzz range, 30-day standby and 15 hour talk time in the Big Buzz and Picture Buzz, 40mm speaker with woofer in the Music Buzz and Java Support and opera mini browser in the Slim Buzz.

All five models of iBuzz Mobile will be hitting the market soon and will be available across leading mobile shops and retail outlets.

Intex Launches V.SHOW: First Projector Mobile Phone @ Rs. 16,000 in India

Intex Technologies has come up with the Intex V.SHOW mobile phone, which features an in-built projector to combine projection with mobility. The phone allows users to project movies, pictures, music videos (saved in the phone and from Internet) and other Internet content up to 154.9 cms (61 inches) of screen/wall with a high intensity projection of 10 lumens and QWVGA resolution. Projection can be enjoyed up to a distance of 12 ft (between the screen/wall and the phone).

Its long-life battery ensures that you can watch a film for as long as three hours and a film quality of 25 frames per second (FPS) – which is as good as the FPS used in movies. Other features include insertion of ‘Bolt’ in the software – a fast mobile Internet browser and a Tripod stand as one of the accessories in the box (for an easy, hands-free visual experience). The phone is a touch-screen dual SIM (GSM + GSM) variant and also has another feature - dual screen mode (phone screen mode and projector screen mode are simultaneously active). It comes with dual camera and a dual card memory slot of 8 GB each to expand the internal memory of 64 MB.

Taking the visual experience to a new high are the clarity adjustor (present just below the projector lens) to modify the distance and quality of images as per the user’s comfort and freedom to capture stills from the movies (to be used as wallpapers). One can also convert the screen output from portrait to landscape and vice versa. It is FM radio (wireless and wired) enabled, with GPRS connectivity and has a 8.1 cms (3.2 inches) dust resistant touch screen.

Speaking at the event, Ramesh A. Vaswani, executive vice chairman, Intex Technologies, said, “I am confident that Intex V.SHOW will change the way people watch movies, videos, picture galleries and even read e-books on their mobile phones. If positioned judiciously, it could emerge as a powerful infotainment tool too. We are in touch with leading chip development companies of the world for future enhancements in this model.”

Elaborating on the technicalities, Debu K Dasgupta, head-centre for design and development, Intex Technologies, added, “It can receive multimedia content remotely through GPRS connectivity which makes it a valuable tool for streaming of content anywhere- commuting in public transport, spending leisure time outdoors/ cafés, remote locations, etc. Along with provision of front and back cameras and customised Java applications, the phone’s sound output through built-in speaker can be further be enhanced through external amplifiers/ headphone speakers.”
